Bushmills Drinks Wooden Presentation Packaging
Bushmills sought an exclusive and innovative packaging solution to showcase their premium whiskey collection. Magellan designed and produced 40 bespoke hexagonal wooden presentation boxes, combining elegance, functionality, and unique features. The design incorporated intricate craftsmanship and high-quality materials, reflecting the prestige of the Bushmills brand while providing a luxurious unboxing experience.
Design and Structure
The packaging featured a hexagonal design with dual compartments. The lower section included a pull-out drawer with a honeycomb card fitment to securely hold four whiskey glasses, ensuring both stability and a sophisticated presentation. The upper level consisted of a platform designed to hold four small hexagonal FBB boxes, each containing a glass sample bottle. Three of these boxes were uniform in size, while the fourth was slightly larger, and all were positioned either within a removable platform or two fixed hex panels for versatility.
Materials and Features
The interior of the packaging was printed on uncoated paper in full colour, creating a refined contrast with the textured Dior-style paper used for the exterior. Both the top and bottom were finished with foiling, adding an extra layer of sophistication. The packaging incorporated four hex panels with magnetic closures, complemented by colored ribbons for ease of use. Additional features included a digital padlock to secure the front doors and a printed ribbon pull, which added both functionality and an elegant touch to the design.
Outcome
The final product was a luxurious and highly functional wooden presentation box that elevated the Bushmills brand. The packaging not only provided a visually stunning display but also ensured the safety and organization of its contents. With its combination of high-end materials, intricate details, and innovative features, the bespoke packaging reinforced Bushmills’ commitment to quality and craftsmanship, leaving a lasting impression on recipients.
