Discover how we partnered with MS Lending for a second year to create these delightful gifts.

The Client and Goal

MS Lending Group specializes in offering loan services tailored to each client's needs, regardless of the loan amount, with options ranging from small loans to a maximum of £3 million. Their lending process is streamlined, efficient, and adaptable. Seeking an innovative concept to engage their customers and clients during the holiday season, they opted for premium, luxurious miniature drinks advent calendars. This creative approach served as an effective marketing strategy, capturing the attention of their audience in a distinctive manner.

For the second year in a row, we have collaborated with MS Lending to design a luxurious 24-day advent calendar featuring miniature drinks.

Luxury 24 Day Calendar

Magellan expertly crafted 100 of MS Lending's exquisite 24-day advent calendars, each constructed with durable 3mm board for the outer case, ensuring both stability and longevity. The main body of the calendar was fashioned from high-quality rigid board, chosen for its strength and premium feel.

The design included 24 individual drawers, each made from a resilient folding box board, and featured user-friendly half-moon thumb cuts, allowing customers to effortlessly slide them open.Inside each drawer, a distinct and carefully selected type of alcohol awaited discovery, adding an element of surprise and variety.

The Contents

MS Lending aimed to distinguish their calendar by including miniature drinks, a choice that set it apart from others. The design team ensured that both the calendar and its drawers were sufficiently sized to accommodate small bottles of alcohol. Careful consideration was given to the selection of alcohol; this strategy was employed to guarantee that each customer or client who received these calendars would enjoy a new and delightful surprise each day.

The miniature bottles consisted of – Absolute Normal / Citron / Raspberry, Antica Sambuca, Bacadi, Baileys, Beefeater Dry Gin, Chamboard Black Raspberry, Chivas Regal, Countreau, Courvoisier vs Cognac, Disaronno, Gordons Dry Gin / Pink, Gosling Black Seal Rum, Greenalls Blueberry Gin, Hendricks, Jack Daniels, Tequila Jose Gold, Kraken Spiced Rum, Malibu, Old J Silver Spiced Rum, Southern Comfort and Tia Marira.

The Print

The luxurious advent calendar featured a full CMYK colour print to elevate its appearance and highlight MS Lending's logo. The primary colours used for this project were orange, blue, and white, which not only aligned with their brand colors but also ensured brand recognition for the fortunate recipients of this gift. The logo was prominently displayed on the front, both sides, and the back of the box.

Since this advent calendar was designed for Christmas rather than a corporate event, its artwork reflected the festive theme. The boxes were adorned with designs like trees, bows, diamonds, presents, and stars, each illustrated in various colors.

Fulfiling and Packing

While Magellan was fulfilling the 100 advent calendars, we randomly arranged the boxes within each calendar to ensure that no consecutive doors were next to each other. Once this was done, we matched each miniature drink to a specific number, taking care to place similar drinks apart and saving the more luxurious ones for closer to Christmas day. After aligning the drinks, we carefully filled each row of numbers in the advent calendars, ensuring everything was done safely and accurately.

Each calendar was first laid on protective sheets for a final inspection before packaging. Our team then carefully placed them into cardboard boxes, adding a thick protective layer to prevent any damage. Once secured with the protective material and placed inside the mailer, the boxes were safely packaged and promptly dispatched for delivery.
