Premium Whiskey Packaging for Bushmills
Bushmills sought a high-end packaging solution to showcase their premium whiskey collection while capturing the essence of the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship. Magellan developed and produced 40 custom hexagonal wooden presentation boxes, blending luxury, functionality, and unique design elements.
The goal was to create a premium unboxing experience that reflects the exceptional quality of Bushmills whiskey.
Innovative Design & Structure
The hexagonal wooden box was carefully designed with two compartments. The lower section featured a pull-out drawer with a honeycomb card fitment to securely hold four whiskey glasses. The upper section housed four small hexagonal FBB boxes—three containing whiskey bottles that matched their respective boxes in colour.
The fourth box held an additional whiskey bottle, along with drawstring bags filled with whiskey-related accessories such as barley, adding a thoughtful touch.
High-Quality Materials & Premium Features
Made from top-quality materials, the packaging had a refined and stylish look. The interior featured full-colour printing on uncoated paper for a natural finish, while the exterior was wrapped in textured paper and accented with foiling for an upscale appearance.
Magnetic closures on four hex panels and colored ribbons added both elegance and convenience. For added security, a digital padlock was included on the front doors to keep the contents safe. Printed ribbon pulls further enhanced the design, blending practicality with aesthetics.
Enhancing the Bushmills Brand
The final product was a stunning and luxurious packaging solution that reinforced Bushmills’ reputation for quality. The combination of whiskey bottles, custom colour-matched boxes, and extras like barley-filled drawstring bags created an immersive and memorable unboxing experience.
By using high-quality materials, smart design, and functional details, this packaging not only protected the product but also added to its appeal. The presentation left a lasting impression on recipients, strengthening Bushmills’ position as a premium whiskey brand.
